Main Sources to Cite

There are so many different sources listed in The Bluebook. Sometimes, it can be efficient to just focus on the main sources that are cited in an article and fix those. This page shows those main sources. 

If you are wondering if and where The Bluebook has a specific citation for your source, look up the source in the index to see.

2. Books: Bluebook Rule 15

3. Chapter in a book written by an author who did not write the whole book (This generally means that there are no authors listed on the cover of the book, but rather have editors listed on the cover of the book.): Bluebook Rule 15.5. Bluebook calls sources like this "Shorter Works in Collection."
