Luri's BriefCase tool helps students brief cases to prepare for class. They are also beta testing BlueCite, a citation checker. Sign up with your law school email address for free access through the end of 2025. The company invites feedback and is often willing to grant or extend free access in exchange. Gavel (formerly Documate) is a legal-specific document automation and app-building platform. No coding knowledge is necessary. While law students at any school can sign up for free basic accounts here, BYU Law currently subscribes to more advanced features. Clio is a practice management software. The BYU Community Clinic and many legal aid providers and small and medium firms use Clio.
Clio provides free student access to the platform.
We have several free licenses to Lit Suite, which is a suite of apps for litigation including TrialPad, an app for presenting documents and evidence at trial. It requires a Mac or an iPad.
