• From the perspective of U.S. legal institutions, Foreign Law refers to laws enacted by a sovereign state other than the United States.
• International Laws are those enacted by supranational organizations (such as the UN or European Union) and by treaties between two or more sovereign states.
• Comparative Law is the study of the similarities and differences between the laws of different legal systems (such as civil law and common law) or between two or more jurisdictions at all levels of governance.
