Includes 17 articles by the author, starting with his influential “A Critique of the Choice-of-Law Problem, 47 Harvard Law Review 173-208 (1933). This realist law professor favors flexibility and context over rigid jurisdiction in choice of law cases.

Looks at traditional then potential future choice of law approaches, with an emphasis on federalism and cooperation.

Reprint of 1993 ed. with additional commentary from a 2004 symposium on the author’s work, which argues for a substantive law approach to conflict of law issues.
